Sally Thompson 
Executive Vice President, Global Customer Delivery, Asia Pacific

Sally Thompson is the executive vice president of Global Customer Delivery, Asia Pacific at Mastercard, based in Singapore. During her tenure of more than 20 years at Mastercard, Sally has led a number of regional delivery teams in Australia and Asia Pacific, and was instrumental in migrating customers from redundant platforms to leading go-to-market products and platform technology. As part of the Australasian division, Sally was involved in executing the evolution of payment technology, from the humble magnetic stripe card to ubiquitous digital acceptance today in person and in e-commerce.

Known for her innovative mindset and dedication to excellence, Sally’s leadership style focuses on co-creation, setting a clear vision, and collaborating with her team to bring it to life. In addition, her passion for mentorship, soft skills development, and fostering a "one-team" mentality has consistently elevated team standards and streamlined processes.

Beyond her business contributions, Sally has always been a vocal champion for diversity, inclusion, and elevating people within Mastercard. In partnership with others in the Australia office, Sally was part of the team that won Mastercard’s CEO Force for Good award for her contributions to the Priceless Planet Coalition. During the challenging times of the pandemic, Sally sponsored and drove programs that engaged, nurtured, and supported her Customer Delivery colleagues across the region through competitive challenges, cooking, and story-sharing initiatives. Recognized as a thought leader, Sally participates in numerous speaker programs and was the winner of the Women In Payments Distinguished Payments Professional Award in 2024.
