From today, an additional 40,000 free meals will be available to NHS heroes on Uber Eats.

Together, Uber Eats and Mastercard hope this will help reduce the pressure on the heroes on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis.

NHS staff will receive a £10 voucher, donated by Mastercard, that they can use on the Uber Eats app to buy a meal from thousands of restaurants and convenience stores in more than 150 towns and cities across the UK.

Toussaint Wattinne, Uber Eats General Manager, UK said:"With the support from Mastercard, we’re extremely proud to be able to continue to support our hardworking NHS staff. We hope this will give the many doctors, nurses and healthcare workers in this country one less thing to worry about. A huge thank you from all of us.”

Scott Abrahams, SVP of Retail and Fintech at Mastercard UK, said: “We thought Uber Eats meals for NHS workers was a fantastic initiative, so we jumped at the chance to get involved and offer a thank you meal to our critical healthcare workers whilst they take care of the nation.”

NHS staff members can visit uber.com/NHS to learn more about accessing their free ride and Eats promotion code as well as the terms and conditions that apply.

Mohammed, Uber Eats delivery partner from London said: “During this crisis we all need to play our role in helping those that are fighting the coronavirus, and I am proud to be playing a part in that by helping to make sure NHS workers in London are fed and can keep working.”
