Her research and practice engagements involve policy and strategic management interventions towards digitally transformed businesses and society.
Olayinka is the Associate Dean of the Lagos Business School (LBS), Nigeria’s leading business school, and sits on the school’s Management Board. She leads the Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Financial Services (SIDFS) initiative, a research and advocacy initiative dedicated to enhancing financial inclusion in Nigeria. Under her leadership, the initiative has become the leading capacity building platform for operators and regulators within the financial service ecosystem.
As a thought leader, Olayinka contributes to policy and market issues about digital transformation, FinTech, and financial inclusion. With her technical knowledge and communication skills, she facilitates discussions in the capacity of technical Master of Ceremony (MC), panel discussion moderator, and interlocutor. Olayinka advocates engendering male-dominated industries and mentors young women in STEM. She has featured on the Tech Women of Lagos exhibition, listed among the Leading Women in Nigeria’s Financial Technology Industry, and profiled in FintechTimes as a leading financial inclusion in Africa expert.
Professor David-West holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Manchester Business School, a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University, London and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Lagos.
