Marc Pettican

Marc Pettican leads the Global Corporate Solutions business for the Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) team at Mastercard, where he’s also a member of the company’s Management Committee and the CNPF Leadership Team.

Marc is responsible for executing the company’s Corporate Solutions strategy - empowering enterprises to succeed through innovative, trusted payment solutions that deliver a seamless, digital-first experience around the world.

Marc has a proven background in driving innovation and growth with over 30 years of payments experience, having held several leadership roles at Barclays. Most recently, he served as CEO of Barclaycard Payments, where he was responsible for all aspects of commercial activity including issuing, acquiring, and partnerships.

Over his professional career, Marc delivered the UK’s first B2B Card-to-Account solution, helped shape the future of A2A payments as a Board member for Pay.UK, and actively supported the launch of contactless, digital wallets, and the award-winning business cash back card in the UK. As a leader, Marc has focused on modernizing tech, improving operational resilience, driving growth through key industry verticals and independent software vendor (ISV) integrations, and building high-value partnerships.

Marc served on the CPI European Advisory Board for six years, and as a trustee for local charity Northamptonshire Sport, which uses the power of sport and physical activity to change lives.
